Tutoring Policies:
- Must be a UTD student.
- 1 hour per student per week.
- Tutoring can take place any where of convenience, even in the
SWE office EC 2.332.
- Walk-Ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred.
- Tutors volunteer their time and are NOT paid.
- Tutoring is at the leisure and discretion of the tutor.
- Tutors are students too. We have midterms, exams, and homework
just like you.
- Tutors give assistance, not answers.
- Asking for tutoring the day of your homework due date is frowned
upon.
- No tutoring for Electrical Engineering labs (EE22XX, EE32XX,
EE42XX).
- No tutoring for Computer Architecture lab (CS 4140).
- Tutor has the right to refuse help if student is unprepared.
POOR PLANNING ON YOUR PART DOES NOT CONSTITUTE
AN EMERGENCY ON OUR BEHALF!
Tutoring Suggestions:
- Come well prepared with a list of questions.
- Let your tutor know ahead of time the general area you need
assistance in.
- Be kind and courteous!
Email Guidelines:
Please include in your emails the following:
- Times that you are available ( Ex. Tue morning or Monday night)
- The course name and number.
- Best way to reach you.
- Specific problem areas.
